Jim really captures the beauty of Campus and Happy Valley. To get to know more about Jim, we’ve included his bio and some samples of his images.
Jim’s Bio: I was raised on a dairy farm in Salamanca NY and now call State College PA my home. Although I still work in the agricultural field, I’ve been exploring photography since 2008 when my wife thought that I should find a hobby that wasn’t a sport (and a trip to the orthopedic). I still have a lot to learn but it wasn’t until attending my first Canon Workshop in OCT-2015 that I finally began to understand the camera and using natural light in a more dramatic perspective. I envy the creativity of those that are photoshop saavy but I take pride in capturing images in their natural state.
Photographing my alma mater Penn State (’93 BS AgEcon) not only captures memories for myself but also provides a way to share the beauty of a campus that shaped many of us. Throughout the growth and changes, the iconic sites can always rekindle a memory, a laugh and even a friendship. We Are…
