The trumpet is one of the oldest musical instruments. Those of us who don’t play trumpet assume that all you do is blow into it. In fact there are several techniques that can be used to get unique sounds out of the trumpet. There is one drum major chosen in the spring prior to band camp. The drum major has a variety of duties including leading band warm-ups and instructing the band during rehearsals.
