There could not be a more appropriate artistic technique than the multilevel, hand cut, mixed media print employed by Steve Szynal (pronounced shin-nél) to capture the glamour and excitement of the many facets of life depicted in his art.
Szynal uses as many as seven layers, not just two or three as other artists use, to create a superior effect in this exciting art form. Each work is meticulously hand-cut and assembled by the artist himself with a supreme dedication to detail.
Steve Szynal graduated from Penn State University in 1987 with a five year professional degree in Architecture. He has become a licensed architect, and owns a successful lighting design firm; both which he draws upon in his art and design. His exceptional talent and technique have given new meaning to 3-D art, as visually exciting, fun, and collectable.
“Pubs of Happy Valley” by Brian McElevey will put a smile on any Penn Stater’s face. “Pubs” depicts all the bars and clubs of State College in a fun cartoonish style. This is the finishing touch for any “man-cave.”

The Sequence is a panoramic print of 6 images showing the series from the famous “Block” to Touchdown in Penn State’s upset win over Ohio State on October 22, 2016. Each unframed piece is single matted in white and shrink wrapped for protection. While the image measures 27 1/2″ x 6 1/4″, the matted size measures 32″ x 11″. The Sequence is offered framed in black, walnut or mahogany. Each framed piece is double matted using the Penn State blue.
A definite addition to that Penn State room.
“Road to Victory” is available as 16 x 20 pallet made of reclaimed pine which shows the Lion Logo superimposed over a map of University Park and downtown State College. It comes ready to hang.

“PSU Stadium Seating ” is on a 16 x 20 pallet of reclaimed Pine. It shows the seating chart of Beaver Stadium as well as the Nittany Lion logo. It comes ready to hang. Because each one is made of reclaimed wood each piece is unique with signs of weathering.
Photographer Steve Manuel captures the very first goal scored at the Pegula Ice Arena. It only took 3 minutes and 2 seconds for PSU to score the inaugural goal right in front of the PSU student section. Unfortunately, after that PSU racked up 33 minutes of penalties – but luckily it didn’t affect the final score. PSU won 4-1 over Army.
“Goal” is available in the following sizes: 8×12, 11×17,16×24, and 26×44.
