The original home of the university president was built in an Italianite style farmhouse. Over the years the home went through several major renovations; including adding porches and turning the architecture into a Queen Anne style and adding large columns and a large portico. Finally, in the 2000’s the Hintz Family Alumni Center was built onto the house tripling its size.

In 1920 more Elm trees were planted on the campus and they helped to create the landscape that we now all know know and love.
